We have a wide range of courses on offer. From personal development and confidence building to more specific sector based training we have the course for you. Once registered we would arrange for you to speak with our training coordinator. Given the nature of our world at the moment we have a range of online courses to get you started on the road to self-development from Food Hygiene to introductory courses on Child Care. We are an accredited SQA Centre and have an experienced pool of trainers available to advise you on the various options that are available for you to make your career aims become a reality.

CV SKills
Not sure where to start when it comes to a CV? This course will allow you to understand how to build a CV showing your skills, knowledge and experience to prospective employers. Your Employment Support Worker will be able to help you to compile a job ready CV. The training team will be on hand should you need additional support.

This is a one-day workshop to raise awareness of Health & Safety regulations and legislation in the workplace, advice on best practice with regards to own personal Health & Safety and others in the workplace

Construction
Everyone working within the construction industry on site, is required to be qualified and competent in health and safety and as such many contractors are asking for all workers on their sites to hold CSCS cards. The Trust can support you to do this. All Green card holders – Labourer’s (previously Site Operatives) must undertake the SQA L1 Award Health and Safety in a Construction Environment - Level 4 training course and pass all 5 outcomes of this course. They must also pass the CITB Touch-Screen Test - H&S in a Construction Environment. Both, the L1 Award and the CITB Touch Screen Test, must be passed before a candidate can apply for the green Labourers Card.

Painting & Decorating
Learn the basic skills required in a painting and decorating work environment. From Ames taping and mixing and applying the joint cement, preparation and papering skills, including patterned paper, and painting and emulsion. This course will also involve a short course in spray painting. Take all your new skills and use in a live environment.
Furniture Upcycling
Upcycling is the practice of creating a useable product from waste or unwanted items or adapting an existing product in some way to add value. The purpose of upcycling is reducing waste and improving the efficiency of resource use. This is an introduction to upcycling, with good practical skill taught giving the foundation to achieve similar projects at home. Assistance on design, colours, types of materials to use, correct use of hand tools, spray painting all covered with H&S Toolbox Talk delivering safety advice for each discipline
