Description:Local Inverclyde Golf Club are looking to recruit a highly motivated and conscientious individual to assist the Head Greenkeeper in the day to day set up and maintenance of the course, all the related practice facilities and planted areas.
This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone with a keen interest in golf & green keeping. The role is varied and duties would include mowing the greens and fairways, topdressing and treating turf, seeding, renovating and maintaining bunkers, maintaining planted areas, servicing machinery and general maintenance work.
You will be expected to work average 40 hours a week 5.00am-2.30pm summer and 7.00am-1.30pm winter. The start and finish times may vary but sufficient notice will be given in advance of any changes. Further information regarding working hours will be discussed at interview. National Minimum Wage rates apply.
Training will be provided in the workplace where you will work towards an Intermediate Apprenticeship in Greenkeeping.
Apprenticeship type:Intermediate Level Apprenticeship
Skills required: The ability to work as part of a team or on own initiative. Any previous experience would be an advantage.
Working week: 30 – 40 hours/week
Training to be provided: Training will be provided in the workplace supported with college placement where you will work towards an Intermediate Apprenticeship in Horticulture – Greenkeeping. The Apprenticeship is made up of a number of different nationally recognised qualifications.
