Are you an Inverclyde business looking for employment support?

The Employer Engagement Plus Team, located within Inverclyde Community Development Trust, offers a single point of contact and will work with you, get to know you and your business, what you require and how to achieve it. They will help your business to access a range of services, including advice, information and guidance to help your business succeed.

The Inverclyde Employer Plus Partnership comprises a range of public and third sector agencies who work together to provide local businesses with the support they require in order to access a wide range of services to support your business. The agencies involved include Jobcentre Plus; Skills Development Scotland; West College Scotland; Inverclyde Community Development Trust, Greenock Chamber of Commerce, NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, Developing the Young Workforce (West) and Inverclyde Council.

How does it work?

The partnership will work jointly with local businesses to promote local economic prosperity. The Employer Engagement Team offers a single point of referral and will work with you, get to know you and your business, what you require and how to achieve it. They will help your business to access a range of services, including advice, information and guidance to help your business succeed.

Supporting & Improving Businesses

The Scottish Business Portal provides information about relevant regulation and advice and will give you access to new diagnostic tools, improved functionality, additional content, case studies and events.

Free Recruitment Service

The Employer Engagement Plus team works closely with Jobcentre Plus to provide you with additional support to help you fill vacancies. This may include matching, screening, work trials and help during recruitment and tailored aftercare support.

Helping young people into employment

The single point of contact can facilitate employer access to young people learning new skills on national and local training programmes, including work experience and apprenticeship schemes. This pool of workers will bring new skills to your workforce and enhance your business in the community as an employer that is willing to provide opportunities for young people.

Recruitment Incentives

Incentives to take on new employees or provide work placements may be available if you are recruiting from particular priority groups.

Developing your people

Tailored support available to upskill your existing staff or to train new recruits. Contributions to training costs may be available.

Flexible Training Opportunities

Applications for Flexible Training Opportunities for the financial year 2015-16 are now closed and the fund will no longer be available.

More than 2,500 small firms have applied for support since this year’s fund was launched, with the entire budget having now been allocated.
